Make all your dreams come true, learn how to discover your life purpose in 5 minutes – let your passion take the lead

Discover your life purpose in 5 minutes – let your passion take the lead. Adam Leipzig started a Ted talk by asking, “would you like to know your life purpose in 5 minutes?” For many I was never 100% sure who I was supposed to be writing for, I had some ideas but was never able to identify the specifics until I watched this video. I was watching a talk on Ted.com, one of my favorite things to do to keep me inspired. I don’t remember what I had initially watched because the one that played immediately after really caught my attention.

The speaker, Adam Leipzig started the talk by asking, “would you like to know your life purpose in 5 minutes?” Hell yeah, I would. For many years I knew that my purpose was to share my writing but I was never 100% sure who I was supposed to be writing for, I had some ideas but was never able to identify the specifics until I watched this video.

I strongly encourage you to watch the Ted talk, it can really help you identify your purpose by answering some simple questions. Adam shares that there were around 151,928 (estimate) of books on Amazon on how to find your life purpose, I am sure there are many that have read hundreds of these books and still can’t be sure what their purpose is. I think sometimes the answers are too easy and right in front of our face but we are too busy searching for more than we miss it.

One line that really hit me was when he said, “the un-examined life is not worth living, but if all you’re doing is examining, you’re not living.”

That summed me up for many years. I had been so busy healing from my past that I struggled to then live in the moment. Learning to live in the moment is another story, for now, we will stick to finding our purpose.

Let the passion lead you.

Below are the steps outlined in the video to figure out your life purpose:
Who you are?
What do you do?
Who you do it for?
What those people want and need?
How do they change as a result?
If you struggle to identify that one thing it is recommended that you think of the one thing right now that you feel qualified to teach other people?
Now put it all together into one sentence.

Here is what I came up with for me:
I am Rebecca, I write for women of all ages that are struggling to move beyond a painful past by offering advice to help them heal, regain their self-esteem to be more confident and live life on their terms.

What did you come up with for your sentence? Share with a link to your blog or site if you have one.
Love & Peace,
Rebecca
